Next, our dentist physically examines your jawbone and requests x-ray images to determine if you have a healthy jawbone to support an implant. If not, we may suggest bone reconstruction to help you become a candidate for dental implants.
If teeth extraction is required, you have nothing to worry about. We use gentle equipment and techniques to ensure that the tooth removal process is painless. To fill your tooth gap, Dr. Port surgically inserts a biocompatible titanium implant post into your jawbone. It then takes around four to six months for the implant to fuse with the bone through osseointegration. When your jawbone heals, you will come to our dental office to have a crown or bridge installed.
