Porcelain Veneers

Dental team in Arden, NC explains why veneers are worth it

We can spend hundreds on purses, jewelry, and shoes that wear down over time. However, our smiles are timeless. Therefore, it is important to invest in assets we have for a lifetime. Our smiles are among the first features people notice when meeting us. Smiles can boost our mood and improve our confidence. Asheville Smile Center offers reasonably priced cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers in our Arden, NC office that can transform smiles and self-confidence. We believe veneers are worth it; we are happy to explain why.

Porcelain veneers are wafer thin shells that are bonded to the surface of the tooth to enhance its shape, color, or size. Veneers have enamel-like qualities such as translucence, which mimics the light refracting characteristics of enamel. Veneers can provide a smile enhancement for gapped, mildly crooked, chipped, or discolored teeth.

For veneer treatment, patients can typically attain the smiles of their dreams in two appointments following the consultation. The dentist will carefully examine the health of the mouth, teeth, and gums to determine if veneers are right choice for them. If they are candidates for treatment, a plan will be tailored to meet their individual needs. There is minimal tooth preparation required to ensure the veneers fit precisely. They are fabricated at a high quality laboratory to ensure optimal results. The dentist will check the veneers for ideal color and fit before permanently bonding them to the teeth.

With good oral hygiene habits, veneers can last up to a decade, or longer. Therefore, it is important to brush the teeth at least twice a day for two minutes. Flossing before bedtime will aid in removing food that may become trapped between the teeth and gums. Scheduling dental appointments at least biannually can help ensure oral health remains in optimal condition. We will thoroughly clean the teeth as well as examine them to ensure smiles remain as healthy as possible.

Veneers treatment can leave you with a more attractive smile and newfound confidence. To learn more about this popular cosmetic treatment as well as our payment options, call Asheville Smile Center at (828) 585-4049.
