We Will Be Open For Normal Business Hours!

We’ve missed you! We hope you have stayed safe and in good health!

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice! You may have seen this during your visits to our office in the past. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to share additional precautions we will also be taking to ensure the well-being and safety of our team and patients.

Benefits of Porcelain Veneers

Asheville patients ask, "What are the benefits of porcelain veneers?"

With the advanced technologies and treatments available in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry today, patients have a myriad of options to help them to achieve the smile of their dreams. For patients with crooked or misaligned teeth, Invisalign and Six Month Smiles are effective treatment to shift teeth back into place without the long-term commitment to visible metal braces and the stigma associated with them. A dulled or yellowed smile can be dramatically whitened with professional in-office whitening or at-home bleaching kits. Composite dental bonding or dental crowns can cover imperfections such as cracks and chips.

At Asheville Smile Center, serving patients from Asheville, Hendersonville, Arden, and surrounding communities in North Carolina, Dr. Christopher Port and his colleague, Dr. Michael Hernandez, are both experienced and talented clinicians who provide a complete range of family, general, reconstructive, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Port, a best-selling author, received extensive training in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry at the internationally recognized Nash Institute and later served as a clinical instructor.

Drs. Port and Hernandez understand that, at times, patients who have multiple imperfections in their smiles may not wish to engage in several, long-term treatments but may just want to improve the appearance of their teeth cosmetically. For those patients, porcelain dental veneers may be the ultimate solution.

Porcelain veneers are basically thin shells of porcelain that cover the fronts of the teeth, giving the appearance of straighter, appropriately-sized and shaped, whiter, and whole teeth. The benefits of porcelain veneers include:

  • Porcelain is a material that mimics the light-reflecting and temperature-reacting characteristics of natural tooth enamel while also increasing stain resistance
  • Treatment may be completed in as few as two visits, as opposed to months or years for realignment or reconstruction
  • Veneers can last up to ten years or longer
  • Affordable, easy, and highly-versatile

To achieve the dazzling smile that you have always desired, contact the professional team at Asheville Smile Center today. Appointments may be booked online for your convenience or by calling us at (828) 585-4049. Asheville Smile Center is located in Arden, NC, at 600 Julian Lane.
