Cosmetic Dentistry

Finding a good cosmetic dentist in Asheville

Many patients in and around the Asheville area ask friends, families, and coworkers about where they can look for finding a good cosmetic dentist. Patients in the area don't have to look far; Dr. Christopher Port of the Asheville Smile Center is available to help new and existing patients with their general and cosmetic dental needs.

It is important for patients to understand that cosmetic dentistry is an art form. There is no actual certification required to become a cosmetic dentist, which makes it easy for anyone to claim this specialty. However, Dr. Christopher Port works hard to help his patients attain the aesthetic benefits of beautiful dental restorations including:
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Teeth whitening
  • Orthodontics (Six Month Smiles and Invisalign)
  • Dental crowns and bridges
When finding a good cosmetic dentist, patients should ask about training outside of obtaining a dental degree. Cosmetic dentists need extensive additional training after graduation to ensure quality treatment and experience. Dr. Christopher Port received training in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry from the Nash Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, which is internationally renowned. He also worked side-by-side with Drs. Robert Lowe and Ross Nash at the institute as a clinical instructor.

Another way to find a quality aesthetic dentist is to visit their practice for a consultation appointment. Patients should be comfortable and feel welcomed to the practice and they should be able to view photos of before and after treatments to get an idea of the abilities of the dental team. Dr. Christopher Port can show new patients the different ways in which he has been able to restore patient smiles over the years.

Dr. Christopher Port of the Asheville Smile Center provides quality, comprehensive dentistry to patients of all ages. His family dental practice offers both preventative and restorative care for children and adults, and he is a proud member of the Crown Council—a group of dentists who are dedicated to improving the lives of dental patients with oral health benefits. Dr. Christopher Port and his team strive to provide dental care for children and stress the importance of good oral health habits from the start.

5 Dentist Asheville - 5 Star Review
Savannah Blevins
I have such high anxiety of going to the dentist. Haven’t been in 4 years because of it. Alivia talk me through what they do for patients with anxiety and made me feel easy about coming in. Then Melissa my hygienist was so comforting and made me feel easy through my whole cleaning. She also payed attention to every concern I brought up. I would recommend 100%. Thank you Asheville Smiles for making this experience awesome and helping me look forward to my next appointment for the first time.
