Parents in Arden, NC seek a well-respected dentist for children

When awaiting the arrival of their first child, expectant parents can experience a range of emotions from nervousness to excitement. They may find themselves searching for the best of everything from newborn clothing to nursery furniture. Another aspect of their search should include finding a gentle and caring dentist. When parents are looking for a dentist for children, they can visit Family Dental Health of South Asheville in Arden, NC. Our team of dentists and dental professionals educate parents about tooth decay and how to prevent it at the earliest of ages.

When babies develop white spots on the teeth, it is a sign of dental caries. To help prevent the development of dental caries, we recommend wiping the baby’s mouth with a soft, moist washcloth after feedings. We do not recommend juice until the baby is at least 6 months old. After the first tooth erupts, it is important to brush it with a soft bristle toothbrush.

We hope to be a part of major dental milestones in each family. These include the first dental appointment and the first tooth. We do all we can to make every visit enjoyable. We typically see children between ages three and four. Our staff has the training and expertise to provide the dental care that your child may need. As your child grows and develops, we can recommend an oral health regimen to meet his or her needs. A preventive care regimen includes brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups.

Just as parents safety check their homes to prevent injuries before babies take their first steps, it is important to practice preventive dental care. For toddlers, we recommend brushing teeth after breakfast and before bedtime. We encourage parents to make brushing the teeth a fun activity for children.

Are you looking for a highly respected dentist for your children? We would love to be the dental team you rely on throughout all of your children’s milestones. To learn more about all of the services we offer families at Family Dental Health of South Asheville, call .
